MILAN – Exploring new markets, giving more visibility to the companies in the sector and creating projects and initiatives that are keys to its development.

These are just a few of the objectives underlying the agreement between Mineracqua and TUTTOFOOD, pursuant to which the Association, which represents nearly 70% of Italian mineral water bottlers, and the international food and agriculture trade show of Fiera Milano will work together until 2017.

“We are delighted to have reached this agreement,” explains Ettore Fortuna, President of Mineracqua. “With our participation in TUTTOFOOD, we will delocalise the presence at trade fairs and focus on the decision to promote international markets.

Italy is a pacesetter in mineral water production, alongside France and Germany,” explains Fortuna, “but it is unrivalled for the variety of its product offer. More than 700 mineral springs are available on the domestic market, of which 350 operating through extraction, bottling, and hot springs spas.

This unparalleled variety allows us to obtain pure, bacteria-free water, with numerous mineral elements, which are also keys to good health and meet the needs of the consumer, with still mineral waters which are also slightly fizzy.”

With this tradition behind it and a market today that generates 2.2 billion euro in sales, and 12 billion litres bottled per year (with exports that account for 10% of production), Mineracqua has worked hard to create business opportunities abroad for all industry companies.

Some of the largest importers of Italian water today are European countries, as well as North America, Japan and China.

In addition to the prospects for international business, the Association looks to TUTTOFOOD as its partner on the road to initiatives that begin today and will continue through the years. The two organisations will plan training courses and workshops and provide continuous reciprocal marketing and visibility.

“The support of Mineracqua is further confirmation of the industry position reached by our event,” stated Paolo Borgio Exhibition Manager of TUTTOFOOD. “Mineracqua represents the height of excellence in quality and a strategic asset in terms of business capacity on the domestic and international markets.

The expertise of these companies,” continued Borgio, “will be an invaluable guide for other segments with which, through TUTTOFOOD, there will be even more opportunities for cooperation and growth.”

Save the date: 3-6 May 2015

TUTTOFOOD – a leading international food & beverage trade fair organised by Fiera Milano – is getting ready to open its doors to exhibitors, visitors and buyers for the fifth time. TUTTOFOOD will start just two
days after Expo 2015 kicks off and the international flavour of the event will be further guaranteed by leading supermarkets and retailers being able to meet with producers to make sound, long-term deals.
