MILAN — Last Wednesday, at the age of 89, Giuseppe De Vecchi, founder of company De Vecchi Giuseppe srl, passed away. His life was characterized by a passion for his work and for his company he founded in 1965.
He began his work as a turner in a Milanese mechanical workshop; after a few years he became a dealer of a well-known brand of espresso coffee machines, handling sales, installation and technical assistance.
The combination of the experience gained in mechanical processing and know-how in coffee machines led him to found a small company producing components and spare parts.
He thus becomes a point of reference in the increasingly growing sector of professional coffee machines, providing, with competence and always at the service of the customer, advice and technical support in addition to components and spare parts.
He spread the passion and dedication to its collaborators, allowing company De Vecchi Giuseppe srl to become a firm recognized since by machine Manufacturers then repair Technicians. The DVG brand is today affirmed and recognized throughout the world of professional coffee.
Although in recent years his presence in the company has become increasingly sparse and the management of the company has been taken over by his daughter Giovanna, Pinuccio, so many knew him, he kept alive the interest in DVG and for its people.
It leaves a company that is well established, projected more and more into the future but without forgetting its origins.
The funeral will take place Saturday, August 30th at 10.00 am at the Church of Colnago.
Comunicaffe International wishes to express its condolences to the family of Giuseppe De Vecchi.
