MILAN, Italy — There is the perception that young people are not attracted by coffee growing as in the past, causing a possible shortage of coffee growers in the near future, as the average age of the farmer worldwide is about 55 years old.
This would lead to a risky situation were there won’t be enough coffee producers in the medium term to satisfy the continuously increasing demand.
The 2019 edition of GYAM (Global Youth Ambassadors Movement) hosted by ARC, coffee Trader in Milan, in his booth at Host this October has prepared an internet survey, that everybody is called to contribute; so to help the coffee world to better understand the new generation challenges, and help them, your opinion is important!

GYAM, composed by Students graduated in the Master of coffee Economics at the Trieste University, co-sponsored by Illy foundation and ARC, soon to become Eye on Coffee, will focus on the challenges in Production and on the new generations in coffee producing countries, and how these challenges can affect the entire coffee industry.
