MILAN, Italy – From the new compostable capsules, to the new organic blend “Silvano Corsini”, and their specialty coffees, as well as a brand new stand with a green and Tuscan heart: Caffè Corsini, famous roasters from Arezzo, leaders in the food and beverages sector, bets even more on sustainability and, from Friday 18th to Tuesday 22nd October 2019 will be in Milan for the International Host Salon, held at Fiera Rho, pavilion 14, stand F30-G29 to present all of its latest novelties.
The new stand, designed by the Florentine architect Nicolò Bernardini, celebrates two of the brand’s strengths: sustainability and its Tuscan soul. A large wall, 10 meters long and 4 meters high, in coarse wood and enriched by some vertical greens, i.e. lichens’ panels alternating with the wooden ones, create a “natural” effect.
On the wall, the slogan “We roast in the heart of Tuscany” and a photograph of the panorama from Civitella Val di Chiana, small town in the province of Arezzo, are a clear reminder to the strong attachments of this brand to its Tuscan origins.
The company, founded in Arezzo in 1950, and directed by Patrick Hoffer, exports its products in 65 countries worldwide, conjugating its artisanal experience of the Made in Tuscany, thanks to the perfect synergy between its workers, to an international vocation following also the latest consumer trends.
Amongst the novelties found at the salon, also the new compostable capsules (available also on line at www.caffecorsini.it), for both their bestselling line Compagnia dell’Arabica – dedicated exclusively to monorigin coffees 100% pure Arabica – and the Corsini line in the Arabica and Intenso varieties.
These capsules can be thrown whole in the composting bin, picked up with the organic garbage and sent to an industrial composting plant, where both spent capsule and coffee will be recycled together to become compost, organic soil fertilizer. Thanks to the cardboard packaging, the whole packet can now be completely recycled.
One of the other novel products presented is the brand new “Riserva Silvano Corsini”, specialty coffee from organic agriculture, dedicated exclusively to the Horeca market. This product combines tradition with the brand’s present and future: it is in fact inspired by the valuesof Silvano Corsini, founder of the company, who throughout the years has always promoted the importance of working quality products, respecting the environment and the people.
The new blend is born also from the synergy and research of the two coffee experts and Corsini ambassadors Francesco Sanapo, Italian coffee taster champion 2019 and world-renowned barista champion, and Michele Anedotti, Italian roasting champion 2019.
The Riserva Silvano Corsini is also a perfect example of our direct relationships with the local coffee producers in the countries of origin, relationships that allow us to exert a bigger quality control on the produce from fruit to cup.
Caffè Corsini is thus strengthening its commitment for the protection of the environment, started more than 10 years ago when they substituted the whole of the old roofing with photovoltaic modules thanks to which the save up to 30% of necessary power, avoiding also cutting down more than 300 trees/year. The company also recycles all of its paper, cardboard and plastics with an apposite compactor.
Both Caffè Corsini and the Ditta Artigianale trademark for specialty coffees are particularlyattentive to the conditions in producing countries, protecting the ecosystem and the local population who work in the coffee field, establishing direct commercial relationships with the smaller producers, recognizing them equal dignity and opportunities for an autonomous development.
All produce and all three of the brand’s lines will be available at Host, Caffè Corsini, Compagnia dell’Arabica and Ditta Artigianale; from coffee in beans, to ground coffee, to pods and capsules compatible with all of the different extraction methods and the major coffee making machines brands. Caffè Corsini was founded in Arezzo in 1950 by Corsino Corsini. Born as a small artisans’ workshop for the processing of coffee, the company has slowly become one of the most important Italian coffee roasters in the world, present in the biggest supermarket chains.
The coffee beans are carefully selected, journeying to the producing countries in search for the purest blends, to bring both to the table and the bar a taste that is not only the produce of numbers and machines, but of faces, aromas and cultures of faraway places.
From the Caffè Corsini line, to the Compagnia dell’Arabica and to the Ditta Artigianale one, our products cover nearly all consumers’ demands: coffee beans, ground coffee, pods, American coffee, barley, organic coffee, as well as ginseng and teas. Caffè Corsini is widely present in the single portion market, offering pods and capsules compatible with all the different extraction methods and the biggest brands of coffee machines, a category that is constantly growing and evolving.
