MELBOURNE, Australia – The 2020 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE2020) has sold out of exhibition space, six months ahead of the event. MICE2020 will run from 4 to 7 May, and will host the World Barista Championship (WBC) and World Brewers Cup (WBrC). It is anticipated to be the largest edition of the show since it began in 2012.
“MICE2020 will build on the recent success of the 2019 show, where we had 11,978 attendees over three days. With the World Coffee Championships returning to Melbourne, we’re excited to see an even larger display of companies looking to share their products and knowledge with coffee professionals and fanatics,” says MICE Show Director Lauren Winterbottom. “We’ve already had to expand the show from its original footprint in order to accommodate additional exhibitors, and we’re thrilled that the interest in MICE2020 has been so strong.”
MICE is the largest dedicated coffee show in the Southern Hemisphere. With over 200 brands to be represented on the show floor at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), specialty coffee from across the globe, alongside new technology and future trends, will be front and centre.
“We’re excited to welcome the world to Melbourne in 2020. Melbourne is regarded as one of the most progressive coffee destinations in the world and we can’t wait to show our global visitors why our coffee scene is so special,” Lauren says.
