International Cocoa Conference in Singapore postponed due to Coronavirus

MILAN – The Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA) has announced the postponement of its International Cocoa Conference in Singapore from March 26th – 27th to June 1st – 2nd 2020 due to the global coronavirus epidemic.

“The CAA Conference Organizing Committee has been monitoring closely the developments of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). On February 7th, the Singapore Government stepped up its risk assessment from DORSCON Yellow to DORSCON Orange.

The safety of our attendees and our support staff remains the utmost priority. Coupled with our duty to do everything we can in our power to prevent the virus from spreading, we’ve taken the difficult but correct step of postponing the event with immediate effect,” said CAA spokesperson Shirley Choo.

The event will bring together over 500 of the world’s leading players in cocoa and chocolate to Singapore for two days of discussions, networking and deal-making, ending with a gala dinner.

Topics on the agenda for 2020 include the macroeconomic outlook for Asia and the world, to Asian cocoa supply, demand and sustainability, and marketing and innovation trends.

The revised Cocoa Conference details are as follows:

All tickets purchased prior to this point will remain valid for the rescheduled dates. If you are unable to attend CAAIC2020 on June 1st – 2nd 2020, please keep a look out for the notification email that was sent to all registered attendees with the refund instructions.
