MILAN – Japan Management Association, the organiser of Foodex Japan 2020, has officially taken the decision to cancel the event, originally scheduled to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba during 10th to 13th March 2020.
This decision has been made based on the announcement of Japanese government on February 26th at 1pm, which requests event organizers to cancel huge events held in Japan to prevent infection from Coronavirus (COVID-19).
“We appreciate your support and understanding with our decision” said the organiser in a press release.
Foodex Japan is the Asia’s largest exhibition dedicated on food and drink across Japan and the whole world.
Over the 4 days of the exhibition, about 85,000 buyers from food service, distribution, and trading companies were expected to attend.
As much as 3,316 exhibitors coming from 94 countries and 85,000 visitors joined in Foodex Japan 2019 and had passionate and profitable business meetings at many of the exhibitor’s booths during the trade fair.
