STUTTGART, Germany – Messe Stuttgart is breaking new ground with the first INTERGASTRAdigital in spring 2021. INTERGASTRA, the leading trade fair for the hotel and gastronomy business, is extending its offering into the virtual arena and devising a digital event format in this respect. From 8 to 10 March 2021, the participants in INTERGASTRAdigital will be able to present their product innovations on a digital platform and transfer know-how on a wide scale.

This exchange of know-how will be supported by presentations, discussion forums and talks. “During this challenging time we want to stage INTERGASTRAdigital as a forum in which our participants can exchange know-how within the industry. Our objective is also to provide exhibitors with the opportunity to present their product innovations,” said Stefan Lohnert, President of Messe Stuttgart. “However, digital event formats will and cannot replace live trade fairs. INTERGASTRA is and will remain the main event for the hotel, restaurant and catering industry. With INTERGASTRAdigital , we have developed a new format which contains a large number of online services. This will complement the physical meeting at INTERGASTRA 2022 in Stuttgart. We therefore want to bring the industry together virtually and also support it in 2021 during this challenging time.”

The programme is being developed together with the Baden-Württemberg branch of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA). “INTERGASTRA brings the industry together. That’s more important than ever in light of the current situation,” said Fritz Engelhardt, Chairman of the DEHOGA Baden-Württemberg. “DEHOGA Baden-Württemberg is delighted to act in this case as the promotional supporter of INTERGASTRA and will actively shape the programme with our DEHOGA Online Academy.”

FLEET Events will also be involved in INTERGASTRAdigital in 2021 as the content and technical partner. “With INTERGASTRA and Messe Stuttgart, we not only have a connection with CHEF-SACHE in Düsseldorf and in Vienna in 2021, but also the desire to help the gastronomy industry in these challenging times as a partner in the search for answers to the most burning questions. We are also intending to cooperate closely in the further development of our new digital event platform called “xircus” on which INTERGASTRAdigital will be staged. We are pleased to contribute our industry and digital know-how as a partner to this project,” said Christoph Rénevier, Managing Director of FLEET Events.
