FORT SCOTT, KS, U.S. – Scooter’s Coffee is celebrating the company’s first location in Fort Scott at 2402 South Main Street by giving back to an important cause. On Friday, January 8, the company will host a Grand Opening celebration and donate 100 percent of proceeds from the day to the YouCanFreeUs Foundation, an international human rights organization that is fighting modern slavery around the world through advocacy, rescue and rehabilitation.
The drive-thru location is owned and operated by Culaccino Coffee Company. “As a family, we desire to see the brand’s core values played out through our business as we interact with our staff, our communities and amazing organizations like YouCanFreeUs who are bravely tackling the issue of modern slavery and sex trafficking around the globe,” stated Tracy Bouwens, one of the owners. “We love looking for ways to give back, especially with organizations like this who are leaving a positive mark on society.”
In addition, on January 8, customers who pay or scan for loyalty on the Scooter’s Coffee mobile app will earn 50 bonus smiles!
With the app, customers earn 3 “Smiles” for every dollar spent, and once they reach 180 Smiles, they earn a free drink. All customers start in the Scooter Doodle status level, with perks that include a free drink on their birthday and surprise rewards, exclusive to the mobile app only. After earning 500 Smiles, customers move into the Caramelicious® status level with additional perks.
To pay with the app, customers simply need to link a credit card and tap “Pay in Stores” from the home screen. Then, if they choose to tip, they can select a custom amount or percentage prior to scanning their app. Customers also have the option to pay with cash or a gift card and still earn loyalty through the app by using the “Scan to Earn Loyalty” Only QR code.
