Local Polish partner, Koree, organized dedicated La Marzocco coffee events this month in Poznań for the Polagra Gastro exhibition, where on September 21st, the II edition of the La Marzocco Barista Challenge was launched, with the following four competitions.
“Macchiato on Time” (most macchiatos in 6 minutes).
“Crazy Latte Art” (best Latte Art).
“Sensorial” (identification of different espresso flavors with coffee beans from Freehand Coffee).
“La Ma Box” (most creative signature drink from ingredients found in the special box).
Agata Raczkowska, a great barista from Warsaw, was the winner! She works at Ministerstwo Kawy where bairstas pull their shots from La Marzocco machines!
On September 22nd the first local edition of True Artisan Café kicked-off with 8 roasters: Kofi Brand, Java Coffee, Kelleran, Etno, Audun Coffee, Sowa Caffe, Coffee Proficiency, Coffee Lab.
A special contest for the best Signature Drink also took place, where Kofi Brand won with a delicious recipe: one shot of Sweet Espresso pulled on crumbled ice, wild berries syrup mixed with sparkling water and a secret weapon – whipped cream made of strawberry yogurt!
