MILAN – The Global Coffee Festival is an Allegra Events production designed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to strengthen bonds among the global coffee & hospitality community. The Festival will actively showcase and promote excellence, fostering growth for its stakeholders, as we begin to look forward with optimism at the road ahead and reshape our economies.
Revolving around the theme ‘refocusing, rebuilding and reigniting the global coffee & hospitality community’ The Global Coffee Festival will launch on 30 October 2020 across 12 cities worldwide for 12 hours of non-stop broadcasting.
From London to Cape Town, Toronto to Sao Paulo, Auckland to Los Angeles, Melbourne to Milan, The Global Coffee Festival aims to educate and inspire audiences and celebrate excellence in coffee and hospitality.
The unique Festival will see 30+ virtual events and international showcases available to stream on 30 October 2020 from 12:00 GMT, or watch later on-demand via The GCF TV platform. Featuring 8 programme channels, The Global Coffee Festival is designed to inspire the most advanced coffee connoisseurs, baristas and professionals, showcasing the best our industry has to offer.
The Global Coffee Festival will be live streamed via the The London Media Hub, a fully-fledged TV studio, which will be the main anchor point of the event, and amplified across video streaming platforms to encourage organic sharing and re-streaming.
The event programme includes insider tours of the world’s most celebrated coffee cities along with industry interviews, debate and thought leadership with some of the world’s most renowned coffee professionals.
The Lab, a long-running feature at Allegra Coffee Festivals worldwide, returns in a virtual format for expert-led coffee learning, skills & sensory training for baristas, roasters and connoisseurs.
Fringe Events –31 October to 1 November
The Global Coffee Festival Fringe Event programme provides event partners and industry stakeholders with the opportunity to host satellite virtual events, delivered online from their own platform (Instagram Live, Zoom, Facebook, YouTube, etc).Each session is pre-vetted for official endorsement and promotion by the event organisers and must fit within one of the Festival’s 8 content programme channels.Fringe Events will be accessible and/or pre-bookable via The GCF online platform.

The Global Coffee Network virtual B2B event will take place from 2-6 November 2020
After the Festival, all content will be available to stream on-demand and relevant trade attendees will be invited to apply to be part of The Global Coffee Network (GCN), a five-day virtual B2B event for industry professionals taking place in the week following the Festival, from 2-6 November 2020.
The Allegra GCN has been designed in direct response to the Covid-19 pandemic to reignite the coffee and hospitality economy, and to provide a much-needed virtual platform for key decision makers to connect and create meaningful business opportunities.
The GCN will enable business-critical one-to-one meetings to happen safely, connecting global buyers and sellers for five days of entrepreneurship, innovation and thought-leadership.
Attendees to the five-day virtual event will be able to personalise their itinerary across one-to-one buyer and supplier meetings, business master classes and high-profile roundtable discussions.
