In an 8.5-hour auction with over 3,000 bids, Angelino’s purchased the number one winning coffee at the Ethiopia Cup of Excellence Auction for an astonishing $445 per pound – the highest price ever paid in the history of the Cup of Excellence.

The top coffee from this historic auction is a naturally processed 74158 variety from Basha Farm in Sidama, Ethiopia. Crafted by Basha Bekele Butusha, a 30-year-old father of four who learned traditional coffee farming from his father, this coffee embodies the belief that

“Coffee is our bread.” The coffee features a delicate, sweet profile with a bold body, bright, clean, and juicy flavors, and notes of floral, fruity, vanilla, caramel, and cacao nibs, with a lively, citrusy acidity.
