HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – The 8th edition of Food&HotelVietnam will see the introduction of two new international group pavilions from Poland and Spain.
With a presence of 353 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions, Food&HotelVietnam2015 offers industry professionals from Vietnam and the surrounding regions a unique platform to source from market leaders of the international food and hospitality industry.
In addition to the new entrants, returning group pavilions from Australia, Germany, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and USA will make up the total of 13 international group pavilions.
To make a first great impression, the Spain pavilion, led by The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) will bring a total of 17 companies who are the leaders in Spain’s food and hotel supplier and service industries. In Food&HotelVietnam2015, Spain Pavilion promises to showcase their latest products: Canned Fruits and Vegetables, Cheese, Cured Meat Products and Sausages, Fresh Meat and Offals, Fresh juices, Concentrates and Nectars, Iberico and Serrano Ham, Olive Oil and other Oils, Olives, Vinegar, Wine and Liquors without alcohol to Vietnam and the region.
Commenting on their inaugural participation at Food&HotelVietnam2015, Mr. Jose A. Bretones, Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of Spain, Economic And Commercial Office says: “Food and beverage industries in Spain follow a very strong development the recent years leading us to expand Spain product images to the world. In 2015, we will organize 12 Official Pavilions in the most relevant food and wine trade fairs of the world and Food&HotelVietnam2015 is one of them. This is also the first time we join in Food&HotelVietnam. This event has been in Vietnam for eight editions and become an important channel for international companies to connect with the local market”.
Besides Spain, Poland is also a new pavilion to Food&HotelVietnam series. Organised by Union of Producers and Employers of Meat Industry (UPEMI), Poland Pavilion will showcase their main products: high quality European pork and beef.
Korea Dairy Industries Association from South Korea will bring to Food&HotelVietnam2015 their major products: milk and dairy products from South Korea while Meat&Livestock from Australia brings the world-famous meat products from their homeland.
Recognising the immense business potential the food and hospitality industries in Vietnam and its surrounding regions has to offer, top international brands will have a prominent presence at the event. Returning exhibitors such as Yu Ai Food Industries, Q’son, Winterhalter and Ocean Glass, alongside high range of first-time exhibitors, will bring with them a myriad of food and drink and hospitality equipment and supplies for the growing IndoChina market. Not to be outdone, big name local exhibitors with significant presence include, New Viet Diary, Tan Nhat Huong, Minh Long 1, Viet Hotel Solutions, Dan&Dan, Charles Wembley (S.E.A.) and Sunshine Food Group.

Workshop and Seminar highlights at Food&HotelVietnam2015
Addressing the current hot topic industry issues in Vietnam, the Food Safety and Franchising seminars will be a key inclusion at Food&HotelVietnam2015.
Spread across three days, the seminars and workshops at the event include “Food Safety in Commercial Kitchens: An ISO 22000:2005 Approach for Practisioners” seminar – Lean Six Sigma Network; and the “Itinerary For Franchise Seminar Cum Franchisors Presentations and One-to-One Meeting Workshop” – ASIAWIDE Franchise.
There will also be a Barista training series with three workshops: “5 Simple Secrets to a Better Coffee”, “Advanced Espresso crafting Techniques”, “Hand Brew Workshop”.
The workshops will be led by three reputed trainers from the region: Mr. Darren Chang – Coffee consultant and trainer, Mr. Danny Pang – SCAE Authorised Trainer since 2009, and Mr. Tony Tan – Specialty Coffee roaster, Barista Trainer since 2009.
All of the speakers have strong experience in being judges for many international barista competitions. The three workshops are designed for all level of barista, from the beginners to advanced level with valuable experience from the foreign trainers. To ensure the quality of the workshops, the seats are limited to 10 persons each.
Exciting Barista and Culinary Competition at Food&HotelVietnam
The Vietnam Barista Competition is back for its fourth edition, and continues to be the premiere platform for local baristas to showcase their expertise and creativity and fight for the title of Vietnam’s top barista.
The competition is organised by Singapore Exhibition Services with the support of SCAE Singapore Chapter. The champion will represent the country to compete in the FHA Asia Barista Challenge held in April 2016, Singapore.
Organised by the Saigon Professional Chefs Guild, the Vietnam Culinary Challenge has been recognised by Vietnam’s culinary community as an important arena for chefs to demonstrate their culinary skills and techniques.
This year’s theme will focus on food from Indochina and is expected to attract talented chefs from Vietnam and around the region. In addition to the individual competition, the event this year has been expanded to include a regional team competition. Current registered teams are from Malaysia (3 teams), Cambodia, South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines.
Food&HotelVietnam2015 will be held from 21 to 23 April at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.
