SUSEGANA, Italy – For the third consecutive year, Astoria will participate in the SCAJ World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition, the most important Asian event dedicated to the world of specialty coffee, which will take place at Tokyo’s fairgrounds, at the Big Sight West Hall 4, on 20-22 September.

This is the reference fair for Japan and the Asian continent, the best showcase to make our machines known to the best baristas, coffee roasters and specialists” said Alberto Schiavon, the Astoria Area Manager.

Revisiting the concept of the Streets of Budapest project developed during the sponsorship of the World Latte Art Championship (WLAC) and World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship (WCIGS), held last June in the Hungarian capital, the Astoria stand (No. 4-3) at SCAJ 2017 will recreate the warm and welcoming setting of a true bar, with a modern design inspired by the industrial style that is particularly trendy today in the barista world, and the use of natural materials such as copper and wood.

The goal is to give visitors a 360-degree brand experience, where machines on display will be enhanced by an environment that smells of coffee and the extraordinary talent of Australian Caleb Cha (PICTURE below), the 2015 World Latte Art Champion, who will perform his most spectacular and famous numbers, leveraging the great potential of Plus4Champions, a machine specially designed for true espresso champions.

In addition to Greta and Tanya, the coffee machines ideal for semi-professional uses and facilities with limited coffee consumption, other models to be showcased on the Astoria stand include the revolutionary HYbrid, (in the PICTURE below the title) the perfect synthesis between the great tradition of Italian espresso coffee and the ease the use of a super-automated system, which can ensure brilliant performance in environments that stand out for high coffee consumption and personnel turnover.

In the space dedicated to the Guatemalan Coffees roasting house, it will be possible to admire the latest addition to the Astoria brand, the Core600, a machine with simple and modern lines featuring a user-friendly interaction made possible by several innovative features, including new Sensitive Touch Buttons, which with a slight pressure allow baristas to easily select the coffee to be delivered, avoiding any risk of loss of screen performance due to moisture or coffee powder.
