BAD ISCHL, Austria – Francis Joseph – the most famous guest Bad Ischl has ever had – spent around sixty summers in this Biedermeier villa located in the middle of an extended park.
Plenty of kings had already been guests in this imperial villa, where Francis Joseph celebrated his birthday – on 18th August – almost every year.
From now on, you can experience the feeling of being spoilt just like a king in Kaiservilla’s Cafè, too.
Taste Kauserjause– a typical snack prepared following the original recipe, composed of an imperial gugelhupf and a verlängerter (diluted coffee served with milk), and enjoy the breathtaking sight of the park.
“The close collaboration with the coffee roasting company Hausbrandt from Trieste, Italy and with its owning family Zanetti has provided this heritage-protected villa with a café that is going to spoil not only your palate, but also your eyes.
There you will find several pictures from Zanetti’s private villa, who confers a fresh look to the café and offers its guests the chance to dwell on elegance.” – says Marcus Habsburg-Lothringen, the current owner of the villa.
Zanetti family, with its brand Hausbrandt, is ambassador of the important mid-european tradition of cafés and is strictly linked to Austria and its cafés’ culture since it exists.
Kaiservilla’s cafè is open every day,, from May to September.
