PERALTA, Navarra, Spain – Azkoyen Group, a leading Spanish multinational technology company, offers automated products and services designed to bring unique experiences to people in their daily lives. The company is spearheading a project focused on implementing machine learning systems in coffee machines and payment systems.
This R&D project is being carried out in collaboration with the Naitec, Geoactio, IedGroup, and is funded by the Government of Navarre.
The primary goal of the project is to design and develop continuous learning technology for the processes and events of machines, as well as human interactions, optimizing the service and maintenance of coffee machines and payment systems.
Juanje Alberdi, the General Director of the Coffee & Vending and Payment divisions at Azkoyen Group, stated:
“By capturing data on machine behaviors and combining it with artificial intelligence (AI), we develop predictive models that estimate variables, producing more accurate and efficient models, thus optimizing service quality in the machines.”
Thanks to this project, Azkoyen Group will be able to design machines and automatic systems capable of developing automatic learning models to enhance user experience in the operation of machines in everyday situations.
This includes optimizing cash handling in payment devices and adjusting the quantity of product in coffee machines based on weekly and monthly patterns. This effort aims to make life easier for customers, adapting to the ever-changing environment.
Consortium of Companies
The project has been financed by the Government of Navarre and developed through a consortium of companies, each contributing its expertise in its field. Naitec has been responsible for developing AI models based on machine learning architecture.
Geoactio has applied this machine learning development in the field of Smart Cities, focusing on mobility management. Finally, IED has applied machine learning technologies in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on improving efficiency in the orientation of solar panels.
