LAS VEGAS, USA – Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, a leading coffee franchise renowned for its premium sourcing of Hawaiian coffees and unforgettable cafés, announces a new three-store signed agreement in Las Vegas. Seasoned entrepreneur John McGrail is set to open the first location in Q2 of 2025, with the additional two stores slated to open in the Northwest Valley markets over the next three years.

“Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is accelerating its presence in Nevada, with ambitious plans to expand across the Las Vegas area,” says the company. “With one location already open in Las Vegas and franchise agreements secured for eight additional sites statewide, the brand is poised for significant growth.” Known as the “Ninth Hawaiian Island,” Las Vegas offers a unique cultural connection, making it an ideal market for Bad Ass Coffee.

The city’s thriving tourism industry and strong local appetite for premium coffee experiences further underscore its potential. Future growth efforts will focus on key areas within the Las Vegas metro, positioning the brand for lasting success in the region.

John McGrail is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the retail and franchise sectors. McGrail’s entrepreneurial journey began with operating a retail business, which he successfully sold in 2007. After studying engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he returned to his passion for business, becoming a 7-Eleven franchisee in 2008. Over the past 17 years, McGrail has not only operated a successful 7-Eleven store but also expanded his portfolio by opening a second location in 2019. With a proven track record in multi-unit operations, he brings a wealth of experience in business growth, customer service, and team management, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and accomplished franchise operator.

“I came across Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii while visiting Maui with my family early last year, and was really impressed by their focus on quality and authenticity,” said McGrail. “With my experience in franchising, I knew this was an opportunity to bring a premium coffee experience to my local community. Today, customers are looking for more than just affordable options—they want a place to indulge and enjoy a top-notch experience. I’m excited to offer that to the Las Vegas community, providing a space for people to enjoy exceptional coffee and connect.”

“John’s proven success in building and growing businesses, along with his multi-unit 7-Eleven experience, made him a strong fit for our continued expansion in the Las Vegas market,” said Scott Snyder, CEO of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii. “We’re confident that the combination of John’s enthusiasm for the brand and his commitment to building a strong operational model will also benefit our other franchisees in the Las Vegas market.”
