Bar Convent Berlin 2019 to focus coffee education in Bar Culture

BERLIN, Germany – Back for the twelfth consecutive year, a total of 1,200 drink brands will be at Bar Convent Berlin from 7-9 October 2019 including 430 new exhibitors. BCB is the world’s largest drinks trade show and brings together global bar owners, bartenders, distributors and manufactures from approximately 80 countries.

House of Rum

At BCB 2019, the “Kühlhaus” will be transformed to the “House of Rum” a hotspot for all rum makers and lovers created in partnership with global Rum Ambassador, Ian Burrell.

BCB Director, Petra Lassahn commented on the collaboration, “We are delighted to be working with Ian, the world’s best-known rum expert. We plan to implement this as a joint venture and give visitors the opportunity to taste rum and signature serves from a number of regions.”

Official Country Partner

BCB is delighted to announce that Mauritius will be the official country partner for 2019 in collaboration with the Mauritian Economic Development Board. A small island with a big rum tradition, Mauritius is known for its sugar cane cultivation and producing some of the world’s best Rhum Agricole.

Coffee in Bar Culture

Coffee Convent continues to provide an innovative line-up of coffee products and the coffee theme will play a prominent role at BCB in 2019. This year’s partner at Coffee Convent is the “Berliner Kaffeerösterei” and The Coffee Stage will be supported by the Berlin School of Coffee, which offers professional barista training as well as insights into coffee trends and innovations.

Education in Focus

BCB would not be the same without its focus on education. BCB will once again be working with renowned sector expert Angus Winchester. Visitors can expect talks from international industry experts covering a variety of inspirational and thought provoking topics.

Founded in 2007, Bar Convent Berlin has emerged as one of the leading international trade shows for the bar and beverage industry. Every October, the global bar community meet in Berlin to establish new contacts, discover the latest product innovations and attend education seminars. In 2019, the trade show will be held from 7 to 9 October at Station Berlin and Kühlhaus. Over 14,000 trade visitors are expected to attend.

Tickets for BCB

BCB will be held over three days once again in 2019. Those wanting to visit the trade show over multiple days can purchase discounted tickets. The 1-day ticket for trade visitors is EUR 40, an Upgrade Ticket for the second or third day is only EUR 30 per day.
