Barcelona Coffee Awards to take place on Sept 30-Oct 1

BARCELONA, Spain – Barcelona Coffee Awards will be the go-to event for specialty coffee shops and retailers, baristas, restaurants owners, small and large roasters but also for coffee lovers who are curious about tasting new coffee and connect with professionals of the sector. The venue aims to bring together 3000 people in only 3 days.

30 exhibitors and will host virtual reality coffee shows, latte art championships, inspiring talks and a wide range of local cuisine made by vegan chefs together with free and unlimited barista-made coffee. Nau Bostik, a spotlight within the Catalan culture will be the meeting point for the festival.

During three days, many activities will be carried out such as the awards ceremony that stands out to highlight the best professionals and businesses in the hospitality and coffee sector. The Awards not only recognise outstanding performers but also shine a light on the continuous positive impact the sector has on wider society.

Rafael Maggion, Founder of Barcelona Coffee Guide said: ”There is a real opportunity emerging for specialty coffee in Europe and after this 2 years pandemic outbreak, all we want is reconnect the local community of the vibrant coffee scene through a unique event opened to the general public to keep promoting sustainable coffee culture and give the floor to 20 local businesses”.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend a latte art master class together with world-class champions and ambassadors of Gruppo Cimbali, Manuela Fensore and Carmen Clemente. A perfect meeting point to train, study and perfect the techniques of latte art, with a winning duo that will help the participants each step of the way. This masterclass opens its doors to both beginners and experts. All of this accompanied by good music: tropical, techno, house djs and many more surprises.
