From 23-26 September 2015, Barista Guild of Europe will hold its second annual European Barista Camp in Riccione, Italy. This year, Barista Camp will have an extended capacity of 200 baristas across no less than 5 educational tracks.

The much-awaited ticket registration will open online on June 16th, together with the start of the Nordic World of Coffee. BGE’s working group members will be ready at the BGE Myshörna, with a cosy chair and a cup of coffee, to answer all of your questions.

“We are really excited to bring this second edition of Barista Camp to Italy,” says Isa Verschraegen, BGE Coordinator. “Building on the experience from last year’s Camp, we are able to offer places to more baristas while still maintaining the program balance.

We’re offering 5 tracks of education for baristas at all skill-levels combined with inspiring lectures from diverse speakers and ample opportunity to test high-end equipment, to meet with peers and trainers, and to wind down in the sun. We are confident this is a unique and important event for all baristas looking for professional development.”

“It’s a dream come true,” starts Eddy Righi, Barista Trainer for Caffè Pascucci and Authorised SCAE Trainer who helped BGE bring Barista Camp to his hometown Riccione.

“Together with the SCAE Italia chapter, we’re very motivated to develop a strong and professional barista community, focused on quality and modern industry standards. By helping organise and promoting Barista Camp in Italy, we can create an incredible opportunity for Italian baristas to increase their skills as well as connect more to the international community!”

Barista Camp 2015 offers interested baristas the choice between 5 different tracks of education, named after four Italian artists, and their master:

• Raphael — Barista Foundation and Sensory Foundation
• Michelangelo — Green Foundation and Sensory Foundation
• Leonardo — Barista Intermediate
• Donatello — Brewing Intermediate
• Splinter — Sensory Intermediate

Ticket registration for Barista Camp opens June 16th on BGE’s website (www.baristaguildofeurope.com/tickets).

Early Bird tickets are priced at €500 (€475 for SCAE members) and include your preferred track of CDS modules, including certification, as well as all other social and educational activities at camp, 3 nights in shared accommodation at the 4* Hotel Corallo, and all of your meals.
