ZURICH, Switzerland – Barry Callebaut has unveiled a new British chocolate brand, Stewart & Arnold. Inspired by their vision of great British Chocolate, in 1945 William Stewart (Businessman) and Dr Arnold Spicer (Fellow of Royal Institute of Chemistry) created a Chocolate Factory in the small town of High Wycombe. Over 70 years later, Stewart & Arnold is now produced in the historic market town of Banbury, bordering the Cotswolds and in the heart of the British countryside.
As Barry Callebaut explains, its latest UK-made chocolate release is specifically tailored to regional preferences and calls on its expertise and tradition in creating quality ranges with strong market appeal in a modern audience.
Richly rounded and deeply smooth with a distinct flavor profile, the range includes 70% Great British Dark Chocolate, 55% Great British Dark Chocolate, 35% Great British Milk Chocolate, and Great British White Chocolate.
The Stewart & Arnold portfolio is created using 100% sustainably sourced cocoa, the freshest milk from British farmers, as well as premium quality bourbon vanilla to deliver the best tasting chocolate to customers, whilst supporting local suppliers. Rediscovered and now produced in Banbury, the brand’s history dates all the way back to 1945.
Created and manufactured in Britain, Stewart & Arnold not only tastes indulgent but is also easy to work with and suitable for a diverse range of applications, making it a quintessentially British chocolate for discerning local artisan producers.
“The Stewart & Arnold brand has a wealth of inspirational history behind it,” Vincenzo Mangano, Sales Director Gourmet at Callebaut UK & Ireland said.
“More than ever, customers are looking for provenance and quality to help them set their menu apart and encourage more consumers through the door. The Stewart & Arnold range is not only consistently versatile but it is also designed to surprise and delight customers with an iconic British taste.”
