MILAN – The British Coffee Association (BCA) presents a free webinar entitled ‘Can digitalisation connect the coffee chain – views from inside and outside the industry’, which took place on Tuesday 8th December.
Presenting how technology can forge better communication and collaboration across business, this webinar looked at how digitalisation will connect and benefit all parts of the coffee industry and its supply chain from seed to cup.
With opportunities to streamline business to business information, improve the connections between farmers and the rest of the coffee chain, and the ability to access agronomic and market data to support decision making, it explored how these opportunities are being commercially realised across supply chains.
During the Bca webinar, speakers, Vincent Minna, Business Development Leader, Covantis and Diana Kaliff, Business Development Manager, Coffee, Farmer Connect – along with moderator, Paul Rooke, Executive Director, BCA – took a look at two different case studies, one from within the coffee industry and one drawing learnings from outside, revealing how blockchain technology can provide secure digital means to connect, store and share information.
