SÃO PAULO, Brazil – The inaugural show of BCB São Paulo featured 55 lectures, 75 speakers, 16 hours of content, live activities and a networking for over 3,000 attendees, including bartenders, mixologists, bar and restaurant owners, beverage distributors and hotel professionals.

The first edition of BCB São Paulo debuted in style, on June 17th and 18th, at the Expo Barra Funda venue. BCB, which began 12 years ago in Berlin and today is the world’s largest premium bars and beverages event, featured more than 90 exhibiting brands, including many of the world’s largest producers of distilled beverages. In addition there was overwhelming support and participation from the Brazilian start-up community.

“We gathered professionals from various regions of Brazil and South America. Exhibitors included, an exciting mix of large international corporations and emerging domestic brands. BCB São Paulo has demonstrated its tremendous potential to become a fixture in the international calendar of professional events for bars and premium drinks.

It was not easy to co-ordinate so many features and attractions, but we are delighted that all participants left extremely satisfied and with the intention to return next year”, said Paulo Octavio Pereira de Almeida, Vice President of Reed Exhibitions, organizer of the event.

With editions of BCB in Berlin and New York, BCB São Paulo was delighted to work with renowned mixologist Marco de La Roche as an ambassador to the event. Marco’s expertise and knowledge was critical in curating the content and education in the event.

“We have featured the key trends and issues in the global cocktail industry and brought them to the South American community. BCB São Paulo has demonstrated that the South American market, especially in Brazil, is in an exciting phase of its development. The stage that BCB provides to bring education, entertainment and inspiration to professionals in the sector is crucial to the evolution of the cocktail scene in the region”, says Marco De La Roche.
