SINGAPORE — Singapore-based Boncafe International, part of Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group focuses on the Chinese and Middle-East markets and their rising trend and demand for products within the Ready-to-Drink coffee sector and is ready to launch a new RTD can coffee line.

The new RTD products available in three different flavours under the Italian brand Segafredo Zanetti will be first introduced into the United Arab Emirates market, with China to follow. Boncafe aims at staying ahead of the curve in this sector, which is also significantly growing in the Indo-China countries.

“Fortune Business Insights (market research agency) has previously predicted that the RTD coffee category may soon replace the carbonated energy drinks sector” says Tammy Chua, Regional Marketing Manager of Boncafe.

Consumers are becoming more and more health concious and Boncafe’s instant coffee range is certified from Singapore’s Health Promotion Board to contain ‘No Added Sugar’, while its RTD iCafe range is “Low Fat” certified. “With this in mind, we have introduced Oatly into our range of products to provide consumers with a dairy alternative,” said Chua. Oatly is a Swedish oat milk brand, which claims to have ‘invented and perfected the first oat drink in the world’.

Sustainability is also a key concern for Boncafe with consumers increasingly asking for products to be ethically produced; for this reason Boncafe has delveloped a Rainforest Reserve range that uses beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms from the highlands of Da Lat and Dak Lak in Vietnam. Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms in Vietnam meet the criteria of the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard. This Standard encompasses three pillars of sustainability—social, economic, and environment.
