SAO PAULO – This fall, a former Nespresso Boutique Bar on Padre João Manoel Street in Sao Paulo was reopened as a new concept: the Nespresso Expertise Centre (NEC). It is fully dedicated to the study and knowledge of the world of coffee and Nespresso expertise.
A broad offering of regular and periodic events has been developed to share Nespresso coffee expertise with the general public as well as specialised audiences.
“We are thrilled to be opening the first Nespresso Coffee Expertise Centre in the Americas. Over the past 8 years that we have been in Brazil, we have received increasing requests from our Club Members for chances to deepen their knowledge as coffee connoisseurs,” said Martin Schneider, Market Director at Nespresso Brazil.
With the NEC we now have a central location where we can share our expertise with existing and potential consumers, clients and partners.”
Offering in-depth knowledge on the world of coffee
The Sao Paulo NEC offers guided tours 6 times a day, with a class on coffee tasting and harmonisation every Saturday. Nespresso Club Members are invited to participate in exclusive seminars to deepen their knowledge of Nespresso Grands Crus, from the sensorial aspects of the range to coffee recipes and harmonisation with other food and beverages.
Cooking and coffee harmonisation classes with renowned chefs and other culinary experts will be offered periodically. In addition, the NEC will host training workshops for Nespresso employees.
Advancing the dialogue on coffee expertise
With the NEC in Sao Paulo, Nespresso also aims to advance the dialogue on coffee with clients, partners, key opinion leaders and experts from the wider coffee community.
The location will host press events, the Nespresso Coffee Academy and professional roundtables on subjects such as market trends, coffee science and the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program.
The Nespresso Expertise Centre in Sao Paulo is located at Padre João Manoel Street, 1164, Jardins, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
