MILAN – According to agricultural analyst Safras & Mercado, 80 percent of Brazil’s 2017/18 crop was harvested as of August 1, versus 76 percent at this time last year. S&M expects this year’s production to reach a total of 51.1 million bags.
Harvest of arabica beans is at 74 percent, compared to 69 percent last year and a five-year average of 67 percent for the period. * Robusta harvest reached 98 percent of area, virtually finished.
