ATHENS, Greece – Continuing in the path first set last year in Melbourne, BWT is official water supplier of the World Barista Championships. This means not only providing consistent and perfect SCA water quality for all competitors, but also accompanying them together with the other WBC sponsors in the days previous to the competition with the set-up of practice sessions at Barista Base Camps throughout Athens.

A fantastic team cooperation that sees BWT working closely with Barista Attitude, Victoria Arduino, Cafetto and Alpro to assure that each of the 60 competitors have the opportunity to practice their routine with the official set-up they will have onstage. The BWT team will be on-site to set up the water filtration device and closely monitor the parameters to assure that the SCA requisites are perfectly matched in every moment, for every competitor.
A special thanks goes to the team from Eurogat and the other companies that have made themselves and their locations available for these practice sessions. But that is not all.
As “tradition” goes, the company will be Event Host Sponsor of World of Coffee, providing all exhibitors the opportunity to use the top class BWT competition water for their own coffee extractions.
Coffee machine manufacturers, roasters, baristas, anyone working at WOC can collect BWT optimized water in 2 points in the exhibition with 19L tanks provided free of charge by BWT. So championship water can be shared and tasted all around.
Furthermore, at the BWT booth (Hall 3 -stand K10) guests can check the Stage of Champions, replicating the official set-up of the WBC competition while enjoying a glass of the company optimized water.
Special guests from throughout Greece will also be on hand to showcase their own roasts and serve premium coffee extractions with top quality water.
