It has taken meticulous efforts to ensure that its food and coffees remain hot even after 30-40 minutes of opening the pack.
The food is wrapped in a butter paper and comes in attractively packed corrugated boxes. The design on these boxes tells a special story and revolves around characters that reflect people and their relationship with food.
The coffee too is delivered in a double-walled corrugated box that is high on convenience, portability and functionality. It cases a coffee flask with additional spillage support and ensures temperature retention until the order reaches the destination.
Speaking on the launch of home delivery in Mumbai and Pune, Venu Madhav, CEO, Café Coffee Day said, “The great response for home delivery in Bangalore encouraged us to scale up and introduce this service to more markets.
The consumer today has little time and wishes for CCD type of F&B product mix at their doorstep. We have an all-day order-in menu designed to suit the palate of every food and beverage lover to cater to different times and hunger moods of the day. We hope to see the same success in Mumbai and Pune as seen in Bangalore for home delivery.”
CCD has mapped over 45 cafes in Mumbai and around 30 cafés in Pune to deliver orders within a 3-4 km radius.
Its customers will be able to place an order from a cafe that falls within their delivery radius. Based on preparation times, the delivery executive would reach the cafe, collect the order and deliver to a customer. CCD has plans to increase the number of cafés from where orders can be delivered in due course.
Mumbai and Pune patrons can now order their favorite picks from the CCD menu and enjoy its range of offerings at their doorstep.
