SCHIO, Vicenza, Italy – Caffè Carraro is endeavouring to innovate while staying true to its roots as it prepares for a complete image overhaul in the coming months. Everything is being redesigned and given a fresh look, from the logo and the product packaging to the website and the social media profiles.
However, there will be no change to the values for which Caffè Carraro has been renowned since it was founded more than 90 years ago, first and foremost among which is the quest for quality.
This is one of the distinguishing features of all of the stages in the production process, from selection of the best raw materials to packaging, which must ensure that the sensory properties of the products remain unchanged and guarantee long shelf lives.
The drive for quality goes hand in hand with the company’s dedication to environmental and social issues all along the production chain, from growing the ingredients to the use of eco-friendly materials.
In its efforts to create the perfect blend, Caffè Carraro imports raw materials from more than 20 different countries of origin. It can also count on know-how that has been handed down from one generation to the next.
Specialist staff (including the owner of the company) analyse the incoming batches of coffee on a daily basis.
In the following stages in the production process, tradition is fused with innovation. Humans work in synergy with cutting-edge, technological roasting, transport and packaging systems.
For example, the company has invested in single serve systems and in capsules in particular, which are the biggest growing products in the field.
Caffè Carraro has always closely monitored the changing tastes and habits of consumers. In the last few years, it has set up no fewer than six production lines for the most widespread types of capsules.
However, it is not resting on its laurels because it realizes that specific solutions are required for each area and target customer in an increasingly diversified market. Therefore, two new product lines will be previewed at Host and then launched in the coming months.
At the same time, the company will step up the pace of its sales drive. Bolstered by annual growth of 15%, it is continuing its international expansion efforts and taking a great interest in the Middle East, the Balkans, North-eastern Europe and Asia.
