Caffè Mauro presents at Triestespresso “Respect Peru”, a new fairtrade specialty coffee blend

VILLA SAN GIOVANNI, Reggio Calabria (Italy) – Caffè Mauro, a historic brand of Italian roasting, will present, to the next International Italian Espresso Fair, the new blend dedicated to the Ho.re.ca. sector, developed to consolidate and expand the international market. On the occasion of the tenth edition of Triestespresso Expo, which will take place from 27 to 29 October 2022, Caffè Mauro will be at pavilion 27, stand 16-17, where it will present the complete range of blends in addition to Respect Peru, a new Specialty Coffee, produced from single-origin Arabica derived from organic farming.

Respect Peru is conceived for espresso lovers who recognize and appreciate the particular aromatic profile of Arabica harvested at high altitudes.

The excellent quality of the raw material, provided with the certification Rainforest on sustainability, is further enhanced by the slow roasting process that Caffè Mauro has been using for over 70 years.

This emphasizes better the characteristics of the coffee sensory profile, offering a quality product that is made in Italy and is dedicated to connoisseurs around the world.

With this proposal, Caffè Mauro supports the fairtrade project of the Norandino agricultural cooperative, committing itself to safeguarding the production territory and improving the living conditions of over 7,000 families of farmers, through interventions of development in solidarity, reforestation, and protection of biodiversity.

The Specialty Coffee Respect Peru is 100% Arabica coffee, grown at high altitudes in the Andean region of Piura, in the northernmost area of Peru. The type of coffee is characterized by generous floral notes, hints of cocoa, and ripe fruit, which give it a slight acidity and a delicate flavor.

Respect Peru represents the social and environmental commitment of Caffè Mauro which, through the actions of the Norandino cooperative, supports the development of a sustainable supply chain and a responsible supply of resources, to mitigate the effects of climate change by contributing to activities such as the reforestationSierra de Piura“.

Respect Peru is intended for the high-end Ho.re.ca segment in 1 kg soft pack format and enriches the wide range of Caffè Mauro dedicated to the international market.
