OAKVILLE, ON – Tim Hortons is inviting Canadians to build personalized Timbit avatars using the Timbit Me online tool for a chance to win exciting prizes, including free coffee and Timbits for a year.

The Timbit Me contest, which runs until April 30, 2014, gives users endless opportunities to create fun Timbit avatars of themselves, their friends and family.

The Timbit Me online contest encourages users to ‘Timmortalize’ themselves by creating custom Timbit avatars in their likeness. With an abundance of options for every personality and physical feature, there is a unique avatar for everyone.

Users can also choose from a variety of accessories, known as ‘bits’, to jazz up their Timbit-selves with handbags, musical instruments, pets, sporting equipment, and, of course, the perfect accompaniment, Tim Hortons cup.

“Canadians are always telling us how much they love our Timbits, so the Timbit Me contest is a great way for our guests to show their Timbit pride in a fun, interactive and personal way,” says Linda Kosmack, Senior Manager, Digital Marketing. “Each new Timbit offers a chance to win cool prizes, so we’re excited to see Canadians’ most inspired creations.”

The Timbit Me contest allows users to fill their snack packs with Timbit avatars created for their friends and family for additional chances to win fantastic prizes, including daily prizes of $25 Tim Cards, weekly prizes of $100 Tim Cards, and a grand prize of free coffee and Timbits for a year.

Timbit Me users can login daily to update their Timbit to match their mood and style, and can download images of their Timbit-selves to share on Facebook and Twitter.  With fresh new ‘bits’ added on an ongoing basis, Canadians can create new Timbits at any time. Valentine’s Day inspired bits will be unveiled on January 29, 2014 just in time for February 14.

The Timbit Me contest is open to Canadian residents only and is available online at www.TimbitMe.ca.
