MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Second Cup Ltd. announced yesterday that they will launch the new Second Cup single-serve coffee in RealCup capsules in grocery stores and Second Cup cafés across Canada in early August.

The line is compatible with Keurig K-Cup brewing systems and will include Paradiso medium and Paradiso dark roast coffees which are both multi-region, 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified coffees.

Paradiso medium roast coffee is Second Cup’s signature blend, medium bodied and fruity with a hint of sweetness. Paradiso dark roast coffee is a deep and rich blend, with a smoky flavour and hint of cocoa.

“At Second Cup, our commitment to quality means delivering the best coffees the world has to offer,” says Alix Box, Second Cup President and Chief Executive Officer. “With the launch of Second Cup coffee in RealCup single-serve capsules, we are proud to offer Canadians more ways to enjoy our high quality coffee in the comfort of their homes.”

Today’s announcement also reflects an expansion of Second Cup’s partnership with Kraft Canada Inc. Kraft Canada has been working to help make Second Cup products available for consumers to enjoy at home by selling them in the grocery retail channel.

Initially, the partnership included, TASSIMO T DISCs, Paradiso, Paradiso dark, Caffè Latte, Espresso Forte coffee brands and most recently Caramelo.

It has since evolved to include three whole bean (Paradiso, Cuzco and Espresso Forte coffees) and three roast and ground coffees (Paradiso, Colombian Supremo Dark and Caramelo coffees), and now two RealCup capsules (Paradiso and Paradiso dark roast coffees).

This single-serve product launch signals further growth in the home brewing industry by one of Canada’s leading coffee industry players.
