OAKVILLE, ON – Tim Hortons today announced on Friday that the Company and its restaurant owners will make a $100,000 donation to support emergency disaster relief efforts in the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan.
The Company will also encourage team members and guests to contribute to the relief efforts through in-restaurant communications.
The donation will be directed to the Red Cross in support of its efforts to assist the victims and help with the recovery process.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to all those affected by this terrible tragedy,” said Marc Caira, president and CEO, Tim Hortons.
“The needs in the Philippines are enormous and our contribution reflects the importance of the critical relief and recovery efforts underway as we keep the victims and their families in our thoughts.”
