MISSISSAUGA, ON – The RealCup capsule solution for single serve coffee and tea has attracted a new, high-profile brand to its portfolio.
Wolfgang Puck Coffee will transition its Keurig K-Cup compatible coffee capsules to the RealCup single serve capsule solution beginning early next year as part of the legendary chef’s brand re-launch.
“We believe this change in partner is key to helping build the Wolfgang Puck Coffee brand and will enhance Chef Wolfgang Puck’s offering to consumers. With the RealCup brand filter and brewing technology, we are able to produce a better quality cup of coffee that delivers on flavor and provides a premium experience,” explained Eric McCoy, President of WP Coffee Company.
Beginning in early 2015, the most popular roasts and blends in the Wolfgang Puck Coffee portfolio will be available in RealCup capsules through multiple channels.
The initial launch will include four blends: Rodeo Drive, Breakfast in Bed, Hawaiian Hazelnut, and Jamaican Me Crazy, with a follow-up launch featuring three brand new blends currently in development.
From there, the lineup will continue to expand as distribution grows in mainstream retail, specialty retail, foodservice and office coffee service.
Earlier this year, Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee announced the development and launch of the EcoCup format, a capsule that can be quickly disassembled to make it easier for consumers to recycle the packaging. Initially available for loose-leaf tea, the more environmentally friendly capsule will be available for coffee beginning in 2015.
