MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada – Polish coffee lovers rejoice as Canadian based The Second Cup Coffee Company Inc. (“Second Cup”) opens its first café in the port city Gdansk, located on the Baltic coast of Poland.

Opened by Regional Franchise Partner Titanium Investments Sp. z.o.o. (“TIS”), Second Cup is located inside the luxurious Galeria Metropolia and is its only full cafe. The vibrant café features a colourful and contemporary design, along with an elegant library space, ideal for studying and working.

Speaking on behalf of TIS, Dr. Mohammed Al Saad – CEO and Patryk Kozlowski – Director of Operations said “We knew that the people of Poland would quickly embrace the Second Cup brand.

The brand’s excellent varied offering of premium Arabica Rainforest Alliance coffees, teas, specialty drinks, cold-pressed fresh juices, and all natural frozen yogurt is an excellent addition to the growing Polish market; it is a perfect fit for those who are looking for a premium café experience driven by value and innovation. We look forward to the opening our next café in Poznan’s Poznania Mall very soon”.

“Poland provides an excellent demographic for our brand, with a young, traveled and well educated aspirational consumer ready to try new products and experiences,” said Jim Ragas – President & CEO of Second Cup.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Second Cup to continue to extend our brand internationally with strong regional partners like TIS. Customers around the world have embraced our Second Cup café offering and, building on that momentum, we recognized that the time was ideal to further penetrate the European market,”

Second Cup grew from its humble beginnings in 1975 in Toronto, Ontario, and over the past 40 plus years the company has expanded globally to over 35 regions worldwide with over 180 cafes operating internationally.
