GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – Caribbean Coffee Traders Limited, a consortium led by Jamaican businessmen Ian Dear and Adam Stewart, has partnered with Starbucks Coffee Company to open a second Starbucks store in the Cayman Islands, reports Loop News.

Caribbean Coffee Traders holds the operating licensee for Starbucks Coffee Company, which operates the coffeehouse on the islands.

Located at the Monaco Towers in George Town, the new store takes the number of Starbucks in Cayman to two.

“We are elated to open another location in Grand Cayman,” said Roxanne Dixon-Rose, Regional Director of Caribbean Coffee Traders Limited. “This further realises our goal of creating employment opportunities and contributing to the community positively. It’s always exciting to share coffee with new faces in new places.”

The new store features Starbucks’ digital customer experience and will provide a warm and welcoming place for customers to enjoy high-quality arabica coffee and handcrafted beverages, Starbucks Coffee Company said in a release.

Coffee Traders opened a Starbucks store in Barbados and Panama last year. It also has a location in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The consortium has signalled its intention to have 15 stores in Jamaica by year-end.
