FLORENCE, Italy – CDR announces the launch of the CDR CoffeeLab at WOC in Athens, from June 22th to June 24th. CDR CoffeeLab is an innovative system that allows coffee chemical analyses from fruit to cup. CDR CoffeeLab will be present at Accademia del Caffè Espresso booth and the Café de Honduras – IHCAFE booth, where CDR CoffeeLab experts will be available to showcase the system’s capabilities and analyze some coffees.
CDR CoffeeLab at World of Coffee in Athens
During the WOC trade fair in Athens, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the application of CDR CoffeeLab for fermentation process control, defining the chemical profile of green beans, roasted coffee, and the beverage.
“We are excited to present CDR CoffeeLab to the global coffee community at the upcoming World Of Coffee,” said Gabriele Casini, Sales Manager at CDR. “CDR CoffeeLab combines our expertise in food analysis with the specific needs of the coffee industry, providing a powerful and innovative solution for control and improvement in production. CDR CoffeeLab brings together the worlds of coffee from origin to roasters and all coffee lovers. Our system is dedicated to different users: producers, research entities and control bodies to the origins, green coffee traders, roasters, industry operators, and all actors involved in the complex coffee supply chain.”
The development of the CDR CoffeeLab analysis system has involved collaboration with Accademia del Caffè Espresso and Instituto Hondureño del Café (IHCAFE), two prominent entities in the coffee industry who share our passion for excellence.
“The CDR CoffeLab analysis system for the determination of sugars and acidity developed by CDR is the future for coffee”, comments Massimo Battaglia, Coffee Research Leader of the Accademia del Caffè Espresso. “For the first time we are able to manage fermentation objectively in a context of quality and sustainability. Having a numerical indication also allows you to standardize the quality from one collection to another.”
“We are proud of this collaboration with CDR FoodLab and of having contributed to the development of CDR CoffeeLab, because it introduces an objective value in coffee tasting” adds Nora Smahelova – Coffee Education Leader of Accademia del Caffè Espresso. “This type of chemical analysis allows us to better understand what happens during extraction in terms of quality and intensity of the acidity of a coffee.”
With CDR CoffeLab it is possible to determine the sugars, the total acidity as well as the single organic acids: malic, lactic, acetic, citric and chlorogenic acid, both on the fermenting coffee and on the green, roasted and finally on the cup.
The company invites you to visit us at Accademia del Caffè Espresso booth and IHCAFE booth during WOC fair in Athens. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the latest trends and innovations in the world of coffee and appreciate the result of research and development.
