MILAN – China (Guangzhou) International Coffee Exhibition 2014 (Coffeexpo) will take place on May 27-29, 2014 at the China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou (formerly known as Canton), capital and largest city of Guangdong province.
The organizer, Coffee Branch of China Fruit Marketing Association (CCA), is the only national coffee industry organization which officially registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
The association is a non-profit organization which covers coffee plantation, processing trade and other related area. It play an important role to connect enterprise, market and government, setting up public service platforms, enhancing international cooperation, asserting legal rights and interests, regulating industrial management, promoting the healthy development and continue growth of coffee industry.
With the rapid development of China’s economy, the per capita income has been greatly improved, and people start to pursue higher living standards and quality of life. Coffee, as a uniquely flavoured health drinking, is popular in public, especially middle-aged and young people.
With an annual consumption of 40,000 tons increasing at a rate of around 15% annually, economist estimate that China will rank among the most important coffee consuming world within 10 years.
Guangzhou, China’s economic and trading centre and the centre city in Pearl River Delta, is an important coffee trading centre. Meanwhile, adjacent to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and South Asia, Guangzhou has an excellent economic radiation power and pre-eminent position.
