SEOUL, South Korea – The Chinese Cultural Center in Seoul launched a series of events to promote Chinese tea culture on May 19th to mark the upcoming International Tea Day that will be celebrated on the 21st of May.
People from different cultures and backgrounds have gathered around Seoul to sample Chinese tea, watch professional tea-making performances and learn more about the long history of tea growing in China.
Fuzhou’s Jasmine Tea, millennia-old flower messenger of China
Recently, as we reported on February here, the promotional video of Fuzhou city of Fujian Province, titled “What You Did Not Know about Fuzhou – Jasmine Tea”, was released through overseas social media accounts including “Oriental.Paris”, inviting overseas friends to taste the history and customs of Fuzhou through a cup of Chinese tea, according to the Publicity Department of the CPC Fuzhou Municipal Committee.
These traditional techniques have been passed down for thousands of years in Fuzhou. It not only contains the unique romance of “A jasmine flower, a lifelong attachment”, it has shaped the character of Fuzhou people and instilled a great sense of family and country into them.
