The Chongqing Municipality, in Southwest China, has become the largest coffee trade hub in the country surpassing Shanghai and Yunnan.
According to a recent press release from the Chongqing Coffee Exchange, the volume of trade from June 2016, when the trade center was established, to the end of 2017 hit 13 billion yuan (USD 2 billion), report local media.
The trade volume of coffee in Chongqing last year reached 9.7 billion yuan, making the inland municipality the largest coffee trade hub in China.
