TURNHOUT, Belgium – Miko N.V., a company specialized in coffee service and plastic packaging listed on Euronext Brussels, announced on Tuesday that Mr. Chris Van Doorslaer (PICTURE) has been elected as new chairman of its board of directors.
During its meeting dated June 19th 2017, Miko N.V.’s board of directors has decided to entrust Mr. Chris Van Doorslaer with the role of chairman of the board of directors.
In this capacity, Mr. Chris Van Doorslaer, already a member of the board of directors at Miko N.V. since 2007, will follow up Mr. Frans Michielsen who resigned as a director of the company to enjoy his retirement since Miko N.V.’s general meeting held on May 23rd 2017.
Besides his mandate at Miko, Mr. Chris Van Doorslaer (56 y) acts as CEO of Cartamundi, world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of playing cards and board games, where he realized a growth from 46M EUR up to 387M EUR (2016) since his appointment. Moreover, at the start of 2016, Mr. Van Doorslaer was elected as Trends Manager of the Year 2015.
Miko N.V. hereby again expresses its gratitude for the dedication and accomplishments realized by Mr. Frans Michielsen during his 47 year career within Miko Group, and wishes Mr. Chris Van Doorslaer a lot of success in the performance of his new role as chairman of the board of directors.
