A new art trend is raising eyebrows in Japan: Coffee paintings.Some painters are painting their masterpieces with instant coffee.
One artist says the coffee leaves unique patterns when it dries. He sells his coffee paintings on the streets of Usashi for about $6 each.
He uses the cheapest instant coffee, but it’s not quite as simple as it sounds. He mixes the coffee to different a thickness for different effects, and uses a spoon to paint.
