Seventeen Great Years
World of Coffee began small in a Monte Carlo hotel conference room in 2000 and year on year has continued to grow and prosper just as the industry has done.
The event visits a different European city each year and more and more attendees and exhibitors want to get involved in this true celebration of coffee.
World of Coffee is a melting pot of inspiration, education, networking and entertainment and the 2016 event in Dublin proved the most successful yet as attendee numbers soared.
Coffee professionals and enthusiasts came in their thousands to soak up everything that is good about coffee from farm to education and to witness the best of the best talent in the world industry.
World of Coffee will continue to tour Europe in the coming years and will visit Amsterdam in 2018 and Berlin in 2019.
A Vibrant and Energetic Event!
Taking place in the spectacularly beautiful city of Budapest, this is one of the best events on the coffee calendar.
Celebrating its 17th anniversary, World of Coffee is the definitive coffee show, attracting the industry’s most influential producers, suppliers and professionals who gather at the event to meet existing and potential buyers, promote their products and learn about the latest trends and developments in the sector.
And, of course the parties! Come prepared as you can party every night!
Staging World of Coffee 2017 in Budapest, the City of Light, was an inspired choice for SCAE, explains Executive Director, David Veal.
“With a thriving coffee culture and an enviable reputation as Europe’s most stunning city, Budapest is going to be a great venue for World of Coffee.
Following on from the hugely successful event in Dublin, we are really excited about the 2017 event and the plans already in place which will allow the Budapest event to build on the success of previous years.
In Budapest, we will continue to set trends, push boundaries and lead innovation in this vibrant industry.”
Become educated and inspired
This event is all about strategic development within the industry, leading innovation and high level discussions, with a full programme of activities in the pipeline – Re:Co, the European coffee symposium, will bring coffee’s leading stakeholders and strategists together to debate the big issues affecting the industry and chart a future course for the sector.
Given the huge success of the Seminar Rooms in Dublin’s World of Coffee, once again there will be two seminar rooms, one dedicated to coffee science while the other to the business of coffee.
The Seminar Rooms are open to all who are interested but you must register online in advance as spaces are limited.
Launched in 2016, the Sustainability Forum will be another attraction in Budapest.
The Forum is to become the hub for discussion at World of Coffee, with key talks on the economic, environmental and social challenges that the industry faces with regard to sustainability, as well as debate, innovation and knowledge sharing throughout the event.
The Cupping Room is always a great success and there will be coffee cuppings every day through the event. Most cuppings are open to the public but you will need to register for others so keep an eye out for further details.
