MILAN – Exports of coffee in all forms from Brazil fell by 9.5% in August, partly reflecting lower availability due to traditional biannual Arabica cycle. According to the Coffee Exporters Council from Brazil (Cecafé), shipments amounted to 3. 2 million bags, down from 3.54 million bags in August 2018.
Green coffee exports decreased by 8.5% to 2.9 million bags.
Volumes of Arabicas and Robustas were down by 7.3% and 14.4% respectively. Exports of processed coffee (mostly soluble) were also down by 17.8% on year.
