SÃO PAULO, Brazil – Brazilian coffee exports to the Arab countries totaled US$218.5 million in 2015. In all, more than 1.5 million of 60-kg bags of the product were shipped. Both revenues and volumes traded increased a little more than 10 percent in comparison to 2014, according to data released Tuesday by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé)
Exporters had a positive year in 2015. Brazil exported a record volume, according to Cecafé, despite “two years of severe drought” in the crops. The council graded the result as surprising.
