SÃO PAULO, Brazil – Coffee exports to the Arab countries increased 9% in volume from January to October, compared to the same period of last year.
According to data released by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé) last Thursday (9), 1.09 million 60 kg-bags of the product were shipped to the region’s countries, the equivalent to USD 179.5 million.
In all, Brazil exported 24.7 million of bags in the year’s first ten months, a decline of 10.7% over the same period of 2016.
In revenues, sales generated USD 4.2 billion, down 1.2% in the same comparison.
