Coffee Masters, the fast-paced, multi-disciplinary barista competition launched at The London Coffee Festival 2015 is coming to New York City. After the successful launch of Coffee Masters at the London Coffee Festival 2015, Coffee Masters NYC will make its first appearance at the inaugural New York Coffee Festival from 25-27 September 2015 at the 69th Regiment Avenue.
Sponsored by leading US artisan roaster Counter Culture Coffee, Coffee Masters NYC will follow the same format as London, with six challenging disciplines that test the barista’s knowledge and skill as they compete for the prestigious Coffee Master title and a $5,000 prize.
This knockout competition will see baristas showcase their skills across a broad range of diciplines throughout the three days of the festival: Cupping, Brewing, Latte Art, The Order Challenge, The Signature Drink and The Espresso Blend.
Applications for Coffee Masters NYC are now open and competing baristas will be judged by a panel of world class coffee specialists including Gwilym Davies (World Barista Champion 2009), Anne Lunell (Koppi Coffee Roasters), Sam Penix (Everyman Espresso) and John Letoto (Blacksmith Coffee).
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Coffee Master, visit www.coffeemasters.org/apply and upload a one-minute video of your signature drink.
