MILAN, Italy – Coffee Origin Trips are now organising, with the help of Syafrudin from the Speciality Coffee Association of Indonesia, a coffee trip starting in Surabaya in East Java finishing in Bali. At the end of August, Coffee Origin Trips will visit coffee farms and processing plants.
Coffee Origin Trips and the journey in Surabaya in East Java finishing in Bali
The trip dates will be 24 August-31 August 2023. The trip will start from Surabaya and ending in Denpasar, Bali.
From Surabaya the group will visit coffee farms and processing in Bondowoso, Ijen Estate, Jember, Banyuwangi (East Java) and Kintamani including the Plage Coffee farms and Processing (Bali).

24 August (Thursday): – All the participants expected to have arrived in Surabaya, All stay in Swiss-Belinn Manyar Hotel, Surabaya. (Jln.Manyar Kertoarjo no.100, Surabaya).
- Welcome dinner/Gathering in Swiss-Belinn Hotel Surabaya: it will start around 08.00 pm.
25 August (Friday): -08.00 am Drive/on the way to Bondowoso Coffee Plantations and Argopuro plantations and cooperative. (2.5 Hours from Surabaya thru Highway).
- 03.00 – 05.00 pm Visiting to Bupati Bondowoso and staff.
- 05.00 pm Drive to PTPN XII Kalisat-Jampit/Blawan Estate (2-2.5 Hours), Stay overnight at PTPN XII Home Stay.
26 August (Saturday):
- 08.30 am Visiting Estate Coffee Plantations, coffee processing and discuss with coffee farmers (PTPN XII).
- in the afternoon/evening. Drive/move to ICCRI, Jember. (Indonesian coffee and Cacao Research Institute) (2.5 Hours).
- Stay overnight at Jember. (ICCRI Guest House or Aston Hotel).
27 August (Sunday): -08.30 am Visiting ICCRI Coffee Nursery, Coffee laboratory and Coffee. Demplot Area of ICCRI.
- 01.30 am Hearing/Meeting with ICCRI Coffee Experts and ICCRI Director.
- Move/on the way to Banyuwangi Resort/hotel. Stay overnight there (2 hours by car).
28 August (Monday): -08.30 am visiting Glen Nevis & Kaliklatak coffee plantations and farmers. (Private and small holders).
- Move to Bali by ferry from Banyuwangi (Ketapang Port) to Bali (Gilimanuk Port). It is about 45 Minutes on ferry.
- From Gilimanuk Port to Denpasar will take 3 hours.
- Stay Overnight in Bali(Sanur Beach Area) Grand Palace Hotel – Jln.Bypass Sanur. Denpasar – Bali.
29 August (Tuesday): 08.30 am visit to Kintamani coffee plantation. Munduk plantation and Mengani coffee farmers and Processing).
- Visiting “Secret Garden” coffee and rice farms views.
- Back to hotel and visiting coffee shops in Bali.
30 August (Wednesday): 08.30 am Visiting Coffee Industries (Roastery and Local Coffee Distribution) in Bali.
- Free Schedules in the afternoon/Evening, Visiting Fire Dance at Uluwatu Beach.
- Farewell Dinner/Gathering in Jimbaran or Sanur Beach. (Fish & Other Seafood Grills).
31 August (Thursday): Official Trip Ending: each participant could leave Bali (flying home),or Could be extended or staying at their own cost.
