MILAN – Coffee Origin Trips has unveiled new detail of its upcoming trip to Costa Rica slated for February 27 – March 5 2020. The trip will be based in the capital San Jose, although one night will be spent in Santa Maria de Dota in the Tarrazú region, where the landscape is beautiful, the people are friendly and the coffee is fantastic
They will visit farms and mills in the Central and West valleys, and spend time at Starbucks’ only owned farm, as well as learning about research and agronomy at ICAFE and cupping with one of Costa Rica’s main exporters.
They will spend a day at La Paz waterfalls, enjoy the magnificent views and see some of the local flora and fauna.
A fantastic, action packed trip, where participants will experience some great coffee and meet some lovely people in a beautiful country. The price excluding flights will be £1500.

Coffee Origin Trips was set up in September 2018 by Colin Smith and David Veal to cater for the growing demand of coffee professionals to visit coffee growing countries.
Colin Smith is the Managing Director of Smiths Coffee, based just outside of London, and is a founder member and Past President of Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE). As a volunteer over 20 years, Colin organised and led 18 trips to different countries.
David Veal has just celebrated 35 years in the coffee industry, 18 of which were running his own company in the North of England. For the past 8 years, he has been Executive Director of SCAE, where he led the association through a period of significant success and growth prior to its merger with SCAA to form SCA.
