DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Coffee Planet, the Middle East’s leading 100% Arabica, specialty coffee roaster, unveils its ambitious plans for 2020, highlighted by the opening of the brand’s first owned and operated café in Dubai, the introduction of compostable coffee capsules and increasing the brand’s international presence.

As the company celebrates its 15 years in the business, Coffee Planet will continue its success as a multi-million-dollar company, providing 360-degree coffee solutions and an unwavering commitment to progress and service, which is also in line with the UAE’s preparation for the next 50 years of growth and development.

Coffee Planet aims to further accelerate its efforts with sustainability by developing signature products and services. Plans are underway to introduce compostable capsules along with offering the latest Appia Life coffee machine for customers, which reduces energy consumption, causing less of an environmental impact.

In a move to attract a wider consumer base, the company will also operate its first full-service Coffee Planet café in the UAE, to be located at the brand-new Dubai Mall Za’abeel, due to open later this year.

Roberts Jones, Managing Director at Coffee Planet, commented, “As we start our journey into the new decade, Coffee Planet will continue to reach for new heights. The year 2019 has been remarkable and with the success that we have achieved last year, we are keen to increase our growth this year. We are happy to announce that we will be opening our flagship cafe in the UAE, that will serve the much-loved Coffee Planet products. We will also introduce new sustainable products and to increase our international presence, the team will participate in events and tradeshows in Asia, Africa, Europe and beyond.”

Coffee Planet marked the year 2019 with numerous accomplishments as a result of active promotional activities, enhanced local relationship building, new seasonal products, improved loyalty mechanics, increased social media presence, and evolving food ranges.

In 2019, the company received its ISO 22000:2005 certification for its collection, storage, processing and distribution of roasted coffee. The addition of the new 120kg Probat Neptune machine has resulted in increased Q4 production by 35%. In terms of clients, Coffee Planet has successfully secured significant contracts with major local and international operators. As a leading coffee solutions company 2019 marked their selection as the sole coffee supplier for several global hotel chains, providing bespoke coffee blends with curated packages for Luxury Hotels and a Premium Range for another major, global hotel brand for the region.

In October last year, Coffee Planet caused a stir in the retail market with the introduction of Nitro Cold Brew, a ready-to-drink, low-calorie beverage capped at 38 calories per can (5 calories for Nitro Black), featuring a natural caffeine boost. Nitro Cold Brew was the brand’s first venture into the Ready-to-Drink market, now available in over 170 Stores across the UAE.

“Nitro Cold Brew was a bold but necessary step for the brand and we are proud of the excellent feedback we have received on the product. As we embark on a new year, our team will continue to develop and introduce products that will appeal to a plethora of consumers as well as to our partners who are keen to offer customers only the highest quality coffee that only Coffee Planet produces,” concludes Jones.
